Husband 'missing' for two months[TamilNet, Thursday, 24 August 2000, 12:14 GMT]A fifty five year old woman Sokkalingam Saraswathi has lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission (HRC) in Kalmunai in the south-east of the island that her husband has been 'missing' for about two months. Sandirapillai Rasangam,60, was working in a jewellery shop at Mutur. Two months ago he left Mutur to go to his native place Onthajeemadam in Kaluwanchchikudi in Ampara district. When his wife went to Mutur in search of her husband as she had not received any letters from him for more than two months, she came to know that her husband was missing, HRC sources said. Meanwhile two Tamil youths, who were arrested by Special Task Force camped at Maruthamunai are detained by Anti-Subversive Unit in Ampara, HRC sources said. The names of the arrested youths are: Kanagaretnam Sri Kantha (25) and Somasuntharam Mamangeswaran,(26).
