US delegation to visit Colombo[TamilNet, Monday, 05 January 1998, 23:59 GMT]A top level US government team will arrive in Colombo tomorrow to explore the possibility of evolving a peaceful solution to the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka said foreign ministry sources today. The US delegation will comprise Micheal Ennis, staff director, sub committee of Asian and Pacific Affairs, Robert Hathaway, member of house committee, international affairs and Richard Kisslen, member of house committee, Asia Pacific Affairs. The delegation will meet the Tamil parties at 5 p.m. in the evening tomorrow for discussions and on Wednesday meet the leader of the opposition, Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Sri Lankan Foreign minister Lakshman Kadirgamar and Deputy Minister for Finance Prof. G.L Pieris.
