"I wish to bring to the notice of the Defence Minister that the Tamil youths released from prisons are being harassed by the Police. These youths find in difficult to live in peace in their homes due to unwanted interference by the Police," said Vanni district Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian Mr.Selvam Adaikalanathan, Tuesday, in parliament participating in the second day debate on the no-confidence motion against the Interior Minister moved by the opposition.
Mr.Selvam Adailakalanathan further said that police visit homes of the released youths and girls and order them to come to the police station for inquiry. The minister concerned should take immediate steps to arrest this situation. "The People's Alliance and Janata Vimukthi Peramuna have joined hands to topple the UNF government to derail the peace process. The Tamil National Alliance will not allow any individual or political group to topple the government. The TNA would support the government to the hilt to safeguard the peace process," said Mr.Selvam Adaikalanathan.
