SLA occupies 3500 civilian homes outside HSZ -Jaffna GA

Three thousand and five hundred houses outside the high security zone (HSZ)
in the Jaffna district are still occupied by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA)
preventing thousands of displaced people to return to their homes, said the
Government Agent in his report to Colombo authorities, district secretariat
sources said.
The SLA authorities in Jaffna are now in the process of
checking the correctness of the report of the GA through its civil
administration units in various military camps located in the peninsula,
sources said. The GA has further pointed out in his report about 52 business houses have
also been occupied by the SLA outside the high security zone in the
peninsula, sources said. Meanwhile the political section of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam
(LTTE) also has taken steps to collect information about military camps put up by
the SLA after signing the ceasefire agreement and also about camps extended
and camps relocated elsewhere.
