'UNF govt is helping LTTE to achieve Eelam'-JVP

During a debate in the Sri Lanka parliament Thursday on the presentation made by Prime Minister at the Oslo aid summit, the Marxist Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) parliamentarian Mr.Wimal Weerawanse said that the LTTE is adroitlyusing the present peace process to show the world that it has already established a region under their control in the island, parliamentary sources said.
The LTTE should be defeated by military means if the country wanted a lasting political solution that is acceptable to all communities, Mr.Weerawanse said Several rounds of peace talks now being held in various countries have given international recognition to the separatist policy of the Liberation
Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), said JVP parliamentary group leader Mr.Wimal Weerawanse. Mr.Weerawanse further said equipments supplied under the guise of radio transmitters by the Norwegian government to the LTTE have been used to bring down the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at Alaveddi in Jaffna recently. The UNF government has created a world forum for the LTTE in the name of peace talks to claim legality for the separate entity now under their control, Mr.Weerawanse said. Minister Mr.Milinda Morogoda said that solution could be found to the northeast problems stage by state. " The present peace process is not the end of the conflict. It's a start to find a lasting political solution to the ethnic conflict that has ruined the country since its independence,"
said Minister Mr. Morogoda.
