NE provincial physical training competition held in Trinco

More than five hundred students from 23 schools in Northeast province participated in the eighth annual physical training competition held in Trincomalee Mc Heyzer stadium, Sunday, sports officials in Trincomalee said.

Mrs Thangaratnam Mahalingam, wife of Provincial Director of Education Mr.Mahalingam hands over champion cup to Vavuniya-Irambaikulam Girls College

Women's provincial champion cup went to Vavuniya-Irambaikulam Girls College and the men's cup was won by Jaffna-Anaicoddai Balasubramaniam Vidiyalayam.

Trincomalee Methodist Girls College and Mullaitivu-Kokulai Government Tamil Mixed School became provincial champions in the march past competition held for girls and boys.

Northeast Provincial Director of Education Mr.S.Mahalingam was the chief guest and his wife Ms Thangaratnam Mahalingam awarded the prizes to the winners.
