Col. Karuna meets parents of LTTE martyrs

A meeting between the parents martyrs of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and Col. Karuna, the Senior Commander of the LTTE for the Eastern region, took place at ‘Thenaham’ Guest House in Karadiyanaru at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, sources in Batticaloa said.
Special commander for Batticaloa-Amparai, Mr. T. Ramesh, Deputy Political head, Mr. Kirushan, head of the Women’s political wing, Ms. Premini, and the political head for Vakarai, Mr. Thothiran participated in the event where nearly 200 parents attended. Meanwhile, the Batticaloa district Tamil National Alliance (TNA)parliamentarian, Mr. Joseph Pararajasingham, and his wife met with Mr. Ramesh at Thenaham on Wednesday morning, sources said.
