Sri Lanka President, PM talks inconclusive on peace

Crucial talks between Sri Lanka's President Chandrika Kumaratunga and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe Wednesday failed to reach any consensus on how Colombo is going to restart peace negotiations with the Liberation Tigers, sources said.

Wednesday's talks were widely expected to reach definitive understandings between the President and PM on crucial issues, chiefly the conduct of peace talks with the LTTE.
