Nedunkerny hospital to recruit doctor

A search is being conducted for a doctor to serve at the Nedunkerny hospital, in the Vavuniya district, under a scheme to recruit doctors funded by the World Health Organization (WHO), said Dr. Armugam Ketheeswaran, the Deputy Director of Health Services in Vavuniya.
Retired doctors with the M.B.B.S qualification or those who have passed the M.B.B.S and have registered with the Medical Council, can apply for the post, the DDHS said, adding that those with a service attitude and willing to serve in under-developed areas should contact him about the position. Eight doctors already hired under the WHO funded scheme are working in Analaitheevu, Neduntheevu, Maruthankerny and Periya Pandi Virichchan, sources said. The Nedunkerny hospital has a doctors’ quarters and other basic facilities.
