Major General Trond Furuhovde met with the General Officer Commanding of the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) Major General Sunil Tennekon at the latter's headquarters, which is located in Plantain Point, Orr's Hill in Trincomalee town, sources said.

Both discussed in detail all aspects of implementing the ceasefire agreement, which is in operation since February 22, 2002, sources said.

Later Major General Trond Furuhovde held discussion with top commanders of the Sri Lanka Navy in Trincomalee and discussed problems confronting monitoring in sea according to ceasefire agreement, SLMM sources said.
