Solheim to meet President Kumaratunge

Norwegian special envoy Mr.Erik Solheim is scheduled to meet Sri Lanka
President Ms Chandrika Kumaratunge on his return from Killinochchi
Wednesday evening after holding discussions with the LTTE political
leadership in the morning, Presidential secretariat sources said.
Government Peace Secretariat Secretary General Mr.Jayantha Dhanapala and
other important officials would also participate in the talks with Ms
Chandrika Kumaratunge when she meets Mr.Solheim, the sources added. Mr.Solheim was earlier expected to meet Ms Chandrika Kumaratunge Tuesday
evening before travelling to Killinochchi. However, the meeting did not take place as the President Kumaratunge was was away from Colombo attending several events in Kandy on her 59th birthday, the sources said. Mr.Solheim was scheduled to leave for Killinochchi by around 10 a.m.
Wednesday to meet Mr.S.P.Thamilchelvan. The discussion between the two
would take place in the LTTE Peace Secretariat around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
