SLA accused of distributing porn in Jaffna

[TamilNet, Friday, 30 July 2004, 17:12 GMT]
''Sri Lanka military leadership in Jaffna is engaged in weakening the Tamil liberation struggle by introducing obscene literature and blue films to students and youths to corrupt their minds,'' said Jaffna district Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian Mr.S.Gajendran addressing a meeting of the International Thamileelam Students Federation (ITSF) Thursday, sources in Jaffna said.

''SLA intelligence personnel, in the pretext of learning Tamil language in private educational institutions, are distributing or selling obscene literature and video blue films to Tamil students and youths who also attend classes with them. We have alerted the management personnel of these tutories to the danger of accommodating security intelligence men in their institutions,'' said Mr. Gajendran.

He appealed to the leaders of the civil society the urgent need to safeguard students and youths of Jaffna from falling prey to the calculated attempts by the SLA to destroy the moral and cultural values of the Jaffna civil society.
