Fire fight in Trincomalee

One SLA soldier was seriously wounded in a clash between the Liberation Tigers and an Army ambush group last night around 9.30 p.m near the Muthur-Mallikaitheevu junction south of Trincomalee.

SLA sources in the Eastern port town claimed they have captured the bodies of two Liberation Tigers who were killed in the fighting.

The SLA ambush group had gone from the Pallathoppur army camp which is south of Muthur town said sources.
