Computer training centres opened in Muttur east villages

Trincomalee IT Tech in collaboration with the London TR Tec opened two
more computer training centres in Muttur east villages, Chenaiyoor and
Sampoor, under a programme to provide free computer training to five thousand
students in fifty schools in the northeast province. Six computer-training centres have now been opened in Trincomalee
district under this project, sources said.

Similar training centres were opened in Nilaveli Tamil Maha Vidiyalayam, Tampalakamam
Athi Koneswara Maha Vidiyalayam, Killiveddi Maha Vidiyalayam and
Kaddaiparichchan School in Trincomalee district few weeks ago. About two hundred rural students attended the opening events of computer
centres in Chenaiyoor central College and Sampoor Maha Vidiyalayam last
Wednesday. At the opening event at Chenaiyoor Trincomalee district parliamentarian
Mr.K.Thurairatnasingham lit the flame of sacrifice and Mr.S.Elilan,
Trincomalee district political head of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam
(LTTE) hoisted the Thamileelam national flag. Trincomalee district
education head Mr.Kavi Anban inaugurated the training. Mr.N.Kalaisangar, District Co-ordinator of the Economic Consultancy House presided. The Sampoor Computer Training centre was declared open by
Mr.Thurairatnasingham. District Students Wing head Mr.Puratchi inaugurated
the training.
