Hindu Cultural Ministry Official Shot Dead in Jaffna

A forty year old man was shot dead, Friday morning, while returning home after dropping his son at school. Kanthasamy Senthilkumaran was on his motorbike when he was attacked on the Sebastian Road around 9:15 a.m, near Bishop’s House, Jaffna, Police said.

Senthilkumaran, from Kolumbuthurai was attached to the Ministry of Hindu Cultural Affairs from the days T.Maeswaran was the Minister. He continued his service in the same ministry, after Douglas Devananda, EPDP, took over. He returned from Colombo for weekend, police sources said.

Jaffna Police is conducting the investigations into Senthilkumaran’s death.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the mortuary in the Teaching Hospital Jaffna.
