JVP accuses UPFA of attack on party members

Mr.Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), the Sinhala extremist party accused the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) as the force behind the attacks on its party members, in a press conference in Colombo Tuesday, political sources in Colombo said.

He added that the attacks on his party members in the Anuradappura, Galle regions are also instigated by the UPFA, sources said.

Sri Lanka's President Rajapakse has promised to take disciplinary action on UPFA activists responsible for the violence, Tilvin Silva said.
