"Upsurging People's Force" warns of resuming offensive

A press release titled, "Days are numbered for the traitors who sell our Mother land," signed by leaders ofthe "Upsurging People's Force of Jaffna District", was sent to all media in Jaffna Thursday night, sources said.

Advising voters of Jaffna, "not to fall prey to enticements of temporary appointments and development projects," the press release called the Tamils, "to rally themselves to partake in the Tamil nation that is soon to be established, cleansed of dirty elements."

The final sentence in the press release, "We will meet again on the battle ground," concluded the press release indirectly hinting that the suspended offensives against the SLA forces by the "Upsurgence People's Force of Jaffna Disrict", may resume soon, said residents in Jaffna.
