Talks in Geneva on 24, 25 April

Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Friday that the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) have agreed on a short postponement of the peace talks in Geneva. New dates for the talks are 24-25 April 2006.
Full text of the press release follows: New dates for Peace Talks in Geneva The Parties to the peace process in Sri Lanka have today agreed on a short postponement of the peace talks in Geneva. New dates for the talks are 24-25 April 2006. The Parties to the peace process in Sri Lanka, the GOSL and the LTTE, have agreed to postpone the talks in Geneva. The decision was made due to practical considerations. We are grateful to the Government of Switzerland for their ability to accommodate this short postponement of the talks.
