Claymore blast injures 2 policemen in Jaffna

Two policemen were injured in a claymore blast at Aadiyapatham road in Nallur, a suburb of Jaffna town, around 11 a.m., Tuesday. The bomb was fixed to a parked bicycle, the police said.

The police team from Kopay police station was on a rugular route clearing mission from Kalviyankadu towards Thirunelvely when they were attacked, they said.

The injured policemen were taken to Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
