Critical shortage of blood in Jaffna Hospital

Acute shortage of blood in the Blood bank of Jaffna Teaching Hospital is seriously endangering the lives of patients who urgently need transfusion, said Dr K. Tharany, Medical officer at Jaffna Hospital, Thursday.

The Hospital made an urgent request to Jaffna residents to donate blood immediately.

If Offices, sports clubs, and places of worship can arrange the necessary space, the Blood Bank will be willing to organize blood collection at the location, hospital announced.
