Thayaparan's National Identity card was forcibly taken away from him by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) troopers the previous day Thursday, she further said in her complaint.

Meanwhile, Ponnambalam Jeyaseelan, 36, a worker at the Sri Lanka Electricity board and a father of five children, was abducted by armed cadres in a white van from his home Saturday night, HRC sources said.

Jeyaseelan's house is located in Kalainagar area in A'laveddy North.
