Ea'raavoor shuts down protesting buring down of shops

All Ea'raavoor business establishments, government schools, government offices, and banks shut down Monday demanding the arrest of the arsonists who burnt three shops early Sunday morning.
Consortium of mosques, Muslim organizations, and Jamiyathul Ulama Board in the area organized the protest, according to sources in in Ea'raavoor.
Security was strengthened with large number of police and special task force (STF) personnel stationed along the main roads Meanwhile, Ea'raavoor police began investigations into the arson and requested assistance from the public to identify the arsonists. No arrests have been made so far. Traders in Ea'raavoor said shops will not be opened until the perpetrators are caught and legal action taken against them.
