Two Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Kfir jets dropped four bombs on Kagnchikudichchaanaa'ru area in Ampaa'rai district Saturday around 10:00 a.m, sources in Ampaa'rai said. Residents of this area have already been displaced by Sri Lanka Army (SLA) offensives, and no one was hurt.
Meanwhile, Special Task Force (STF) which had erected a camp at Thangkavealaayuthapuram, during the SLA offensive on Liberation Tamil Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) territory January, had vacated the camp, moving out on 8 May. Troopers of the STF have taken away the tiles and other valuables from the houses of the displaced people, constructed by NIAB for them. Besides, these houses have been converted into SLA sentry posts. The STF troopers have also converted Thangkavealaayuthapuram Pi'l'laiyaar temple into a liquor bar and broke into the office of ZOA, a Non-governmental organization, and appropriating the properties inside. New camps of the STF have been erected at Kagnchikudichchaanaa'ru, Roopasku'lam and Koaddivihaarai areas now.
