Civilian killed, 2 wounded in SLAF air strike

A 56-year-old woman was killed and 2 civilians were wounded Tuesday afternoon when two Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) fast attack crafts bombed Puthukkudiyiruppu in Mullaiththeevu twice. A 50-year old man and a 26-year old female were wounded in the aerial attack that targeted a civilian area. 12 houses were damaged and children from a school located 75 meters near the attack site narrowly escaped the attack.
The woman victim, mother of three, was identified as Meyyaappillai Alaku, from Chinna Cha'lampan, Odduchuddaan, Tamileelam Police said. The wounded were identified as I. Irasiah and Neelakandan Jegatheeswari from Kaarainakar, Jaffna. Two SLAF bombers dropped bombs on Vea'naavil village in Puthukkudiyiruppu, around 1:45 p.m. and later at 2:20 p.m.
