SLMM Inspects damages at Pu'liyangku'lam Hospital

Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) Head of Northern Region, Hans Jorgen Coldewin visited Pu'liyangku'lam Monday between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and inspected the damages at Pu'liyangku'lam Hospital and the neighboring civilian residences from the rocket fire launched by Sri Lanka Army (SLA) Sunday noon and night, sources in Vanni said. The SLMM team also talked to the doctors and nurses.

S.Gnanam, the political Head of Vavuniyaa district accompanied the SLMM team through Omanthai checkpoint to the hospital area and briefed the officials of the damages and the difficulties faced by the staff and patients due to the attack.

The team also met the civilians affected by the SLA attack.

Meanwhile, Vavuniyaa district International Red Cross Residential Representative also visited the area, met Mr.Gnanam and inspected the damages.
