SLA cordon, searches Vaddukkoaddai, youth missing in Jaffna

Sri Lanka Army (SLA) launched an extensive cordon off and search operation in Thu’naivi and Changkaraththay in Vaddukkoaddai area from Thursday early morning, ordering more than fifteen youths to reclaim at the SLA camps in their localities, the National Identify Cards (NIC) confiscated during the operation, sources in Jaffna said. Meanwhile, a youth from Koa’ndaavil west is reported missing since Saturday.
Balasudaram Injan, 19, a resident of Koa’ndaavil West in Jaffna, had left Saturday morning to worship at Thellippa’alay Thurkkay Amman temple but had not returned home since then. SLA launched other search operations in Vadamaraadchchi area Wednesday and in Thenmaraadchchi Thursday, the sources added. Large number of SLA troops was deployed in these cordon and search operations.
