Pictures of LTTE aircraft released

The Sri Lankan Government has published posters with photos of aircraft and a helicopter that are believed to be in the possession of the Liberation Tigers. They have also published the photographs of 15 types of aircraft that are in the possession of the Sri Lankan Air Force.

The poster said the Tigers have a helicopter of type R44 and two light planes.

The posters have been distributed to all the Police stations in the island, SLA camps and check posts in the capital, Colombo, surrounding the parliament complex.

The posters were printed at the Government Press.

After weeks of intense speculation in the Colombo press, the Tigers confirmed the existence of their aircraft on Maaveerar Day, on November 27. The aircraft were used as part of the Heroes day remembrance ceremonies, the they said.
