SLA attack injures 4 civilians in Mannaar

Four civilians residing in Thadchanaa Maruthamadu refugee camp for Internally Displaced People (IDP) Mannaar district were injured when Sri Lanka Army (SLA) launched an artillery attack Sunday morning 11:00 a.m. targeting the IDP camp, source in Mannaar said.
 Muniyandi Gunarasa, 42 is admitted to Pa'l'lamadu Hospital.
Three of the victims have been identified as Anthony Pieris Mary, 42, and her daughter Anthony Pieris Rajini, 14, displaced from Periyapandivirichchaan, and Muniyandi Gunarasa, 42, displaced from Manna kulam. The injured civilians have been admitted to Pa'l'lamadu Hospital. A number of civilian settlements were extensively damaged during the artillery attack, according to residents there. 1600 civilians belonging to 242 families displaced from Periya Pandivirichchaan, Chinna Pandivirichchaan, Thampanai and Paalampiddi are presently residing in Thadchanaa Maruthamadu refugee camp.
