CID arrests Tamil lady doctor in Dambulla

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police from Kandy arrested a Tamil lady doctor attached to Dambulla District Hospital in Matale district, according to a complaint made by the doctor’s mother to Deputy Minister P. Rathakrishnan of the Upcountry People's Front (UPF).

The 30-year-old lady doctor is held in detention in Kandy, according to her mother. The doctor was in charge of Blood Testing Section of Dambulla district hospital.

Deputy Minister Rathakrishnan has made complaints regarding the arrest of the lady doctor to several authorities including the Deputy Inspector General of Police of the CID branch and the officials at the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defence.
