Two Tigers killed in Jaffna - SLA

The Sri Lankan Army in Jaffna said that two Liberation Tigers were killed in a clash in Chavakachcheri Jaffna, yesterday morning. They said that troops cordoned off a house in which the Tigers were staying.

The bodies, believed to be of youths between 20 and 25 years, have been handed over to the Jaffna Hospital.

Meanwhile the Voice of Tigers radio said three Liberation Tigers were killed in the Vanni on Wednesday and Thursday.

Kathirnesan (Shanmugalingam Jeyatheepan of Jaffna) died in an accidental explosion on Wednesday the radio said.

On Wednesday, Thooyaval (Yogarajah Yogarani of Trincomalee) died in a clash with the Sri Lankan Army in Mankulam while Vaathan (Somasunderam Arulanantharajah of Amparai) died in Oddusuddan the radio added.
