"No Home - Just Hope" photo exhibition of Vanni IDP's woes, in Norway

Tamil Youth Organization (TYO) of the city of Bergen in Norway launched an exhibition titled "No Home – Just Hope" of photos depicting the plight of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Vanni in Sri Lanka, in Hanseatisk Museum in Bergen town, Friday around 6:00 p.m, inaugurated by Eileen, Kolsås Dalen, culture consultant in Bergen Municipality, sources in Bergen said. Friday marked the day when the United Nations was founded.
The video film of the Vanni IDPs protesting against the expelling of UN humanitarian workers by the Sri Lanka government from Vanni and their picketing of the officials were also shown at the inauguration of the exhibition. The exhibition will continue until 20 December.
The inauguration event Friday drew large number of persons from the various communities living in Bergen, organizers of the event said.
The exhibition will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 14:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. on Sundays until 20 December, TYO Bergen said.
