First SLAF passenger flight

The first commercial SLAF flight carrying civilian to Jaffna left the Ratmalana base on the southern outskirts of Colombo at 1 p.m. this afternoon and arrived at the Palaly military complex an hour later said sources in Jaffna.

The flight flew out of Palaly at 3 p.m. this afternoon with 52 passengers and returned to Colombo at 4 a.m.

The schedule was not made public in Colombo until this morning for security reasons said SLA sources in Jaffna.
