Prasad Samarasinghe appointed as new military spokesman

Prasad Samarasinghe Monday morning assumed office as the Military Spokesman and has been promoted to the rank of Major General. He previously served as the military spokesman in the rank of Brigadier prior to getting posted to the Sri Lanka High Commission in London on a diplomatic posting.

He will continue his functions, in addition to his appointment as Military Spokesman as the Chief Signal Officer (CSO) of the Army and Chief Controller, Center for Research and Development at Ministry of Defence.

Till Sunday Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara served as the military spokesman.
