Wickramabahu to meet Diaspora Tamils

Dr Wickramabahu Karunaratne, the leader of New Left Front and General Secretary of New Sama Samaja party, would be meeting diaspora Tamils in UK, British Tamil Forum (BTF) officials told TamilNet Friday. The meeting, scheduled to take place on 25 November in South Harrow, comes at a time when forces operating against solidarity among progressive leftist forces, were engaged in spreading false propaganda, Tamil political circles in UK said.

Dr. Wicremabahu Karunaratne has been consistent in his stand on the issue of a political solution to the Tamil national cause and has also voiced against the killings of the Tamils and oppression by Sri Lankan state without fear, the BTF said in a note issued in Tamil.
