Tigers hand over 16 SLA bodies

The Liberation Tigers handed over today bodies of 16 Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers killed in the north of the island, to the ICRC representative in Mallavi, the spokesman for the organisation in Colombo, Harsha Gunawardene said.
He said the bodies were handed over to the SLA at Piramanalkulam forward defence lines, around 9 p.m. today. The spokesman further said the ICRC received a body of a LTTE member, from the SLA, and it is being transported to the Vanni. The VoT radio said Pulithevan of the Political wing of the LTTE handed over the bodies to the ICRC at 12.30 p.m. today. The radio also gave the names of 16 LTTE members who were killed in confrontations in the north.
