Batti TEEDOR launches Book

His primary focus is in obtaining a lasting peace through negotiations that allows our people to live free and with dignity," said Ramesh, the Special Military commander of LTTE for Batti-Ampara district at a book launching ceremony organised by the TEEDOR (Tamil Eelam Economic Development Organisation).

Batticaloa branch TEEDOR launched the book 'Pasumai' (Greenery) at a ceremony at the Kovilporathivu Vivekananda Vidyalam held on Sunday afternoon. Batticaloa head of TEEDOR, K. Nizam presided the meeting.

Batticalo leader of the medical branch Vamanan and head of the political branch Jeya lit the flame. SivaSri E. V. Kanthan ‘Kurukkal’ gave the welcome speech.

After Kingsley, head of Publishing, launched the book, Journalist Ariyanendran, former director of Agriculture T. Kanagasabai, and Yogan, Head of the judicial branch gave detailed discussion of ideas for economic development covered in the book.

"With the current climate of peace we are able to undertake political work without any interference. The economy of our land has been devasted by war and all of us should join our hands in rebuilding it. Agriculture, Fisheries and handicraft which are the main components of our economy should be given the highest priority as we begin to build our Nation," said E. Kauslayan, Head of Batti-Ampara Political section.
