LTTE opens political office at Kumburupiddy

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam Friday opened a political office at Kumburupiddy, a traditional Tamil village, twenty-two km north of Trincomalee town. "We should work hard to resettle the displaced and rehabilitate their lives," said Mr. Sivakumar, Kumburupiddy LTTE political head addressing a gathering, which followed the ceremonial opening.

The Kumburupiddy LTTE political office covers Kumburupitty, Kuchchaveli and Thiriyai villages in the Kattukulampattu east in the Trincomalee district.

Mr.Visvasam, father of Martyr Black Tiger Major Poiyamolli, lit the flame of sacrifice. Mr. Sivakumar, LTTE Kumburupiddy political head hoisted the Tamil Eelam national flag. Mr. Rajesh, LTTE Trincomalee town political head unveiled the name of the office. LTTE activist Roseman declared open the office building by cutting the ribbon.

This is the second LTTE political office opened in the north of Trincomalee district.
