Martyrs' parents honoured in Mullaitivu

Parents of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) fighters who sacrificed their lives in the two decades old war were felicitated in a meeting at Mullaitivu Maha Vidyalayam presided by Mariathas, Head of Mullaitivu Rehabilitation Committee, Sunday, sources said.

Special commander of Sea Tigers women's wing, Jeromini, hoisted the Tamil eelam flag and Head of the Mullaitivu district Sea Tigers lit the ceremonial flame. Mullaitivu Rehabilitation Committee secretary, Shakila gave the welcome speech after placing flower garlands to the martyrs' pictures.

Maravan from the political wing of Sea Tigers, Mullaitivu Mahavidyalayam principal Mr. Jeganathan, Head of the Sea Tiger's political wing Vinayagam and military commander Colonel Sornam gave remembrance speeches.

Following the luncheon, Colonel Sornam, LTTE's Head of the Intelligence wing, Pottu amman and other LTTE cadres spent time talking to the parents of the martyrs.
