Trinco pays homage to 11 LTTE cadres died in sea

A day of mourning was observed Friday morning in Trincomalee for the deaths of eleven senior cadres of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) at a function organized at the LTTE town political office. Photographs of eleven LTTE cadres were kept in specially erected hall, sources said.

Mr.Thennavan, head of the Trincomalee district martyrs' division presided. The LTTE Trincomalee office head Mr.Mathi hoisted the Tamil Eelam National Flag. Mr.Iynkaran of LTTE lit the flame of sacrifice.

Mr.S.Jesuthasan, Secretary of the Trincomalee District Refugees Welfare Association and Mr.Malaimaran, head of the Trincomalee Documentation Division delivered keynote addresses, sources said.

Large number of students and members of civil societies paid homage to dead cadres, sources said.
