Women demining group begins training

A twenty seven member women group, as part of the Tamils Rehabilitation Organization's (TRO's) humanitarian activities section, began training in demining opertions Monday 23 June, sources in Kilinochchi said.

The training is supported by TRO with assistance from Norwegian Government, sources said.

Sources say that this is the first time a group comprising only women members is being trained in mine clearing.
