A three day education exhibition, displaying the creative talents of students of the Trincomalee St Joseph's College, was inaugurated Thursday by the North East Provincial Director of Education, Mr.S.Mahalingam, sources said.

"Classroom education alone will not produce innovative minds. Students should be allowed to display their creative talents in class rooms without any restriction," Mr. Mahalingam said after viewing the exhibits produced by students.

Mr. Mahalingam and the Trincomalee Zonal Director of Education, Mr K.Thialakretnam, participated as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

The Principal of the college, Mr.R.Jerome, welcomed the guests. Later, they were taken in a procession to the venue with the college band in attendance.

The Provincial Director declared open the exhibition and the Zonal Director declared open the computer room.

Mr. Mahalingam commended the College for producing better results not only in the field of education but also in the sphere of sports activities at the provincial and national level competitions.
