SLA shifting FDLs inside No-man's zone - Theepan

Col.Theepan, Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Commander of
Northern Region has complained to the Norwegian head of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission, Major General (retd.) Triggve Teleffsen, that
the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) has shifted their Forward Defence positions inside the no-man's zone in Muhamalai, Kilali and NagarKovil areas, tamil daily Uthayan reported.
Gen.Teleffsen met Theepan Monday afternoon in Palai and later Theepan accompanied Gen. Teleffsen to the disputed areas to survey the sites. The report
said that Theepan expressed his strong protest on the activities of the SLA in shifting their defence positions. Teleffsen who arrived Monday morning by land met with LTTE's Political Head, S.P.Thamilselvan between 12noon and 1.50pm. The discussions
centered on the SLA-LTTE stand-off regarding the
LTTE's Training camp in Kurangupanjan, and the issue of SLN soldiers under
LTTE custody, report said.

Gen.Teleffsen told the reporters at the end of the meeting that
they also discussed the possibility of arranging a meeting between
the LTTE and the Sri Lanka Government towards the end of this month
to resolve existing problems in implementing the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA).

The SLMM Head is expected to tour around Wanni to see projects
undertaken by Tamil Rehabilitatin Organization (TRO) and Tamil Eelam Economic Organization (TEEDOR) later today, report said. Gen. Tellefsen is also scheduled to meet Special Commander of LTTE Sea Tigers, Col.Soosai, Wednesday when he will also visit Sea Tigers' training sites, report added.
