Ranil Wickramasinghe schemes next phase of structural genocide of Trincomalee

The Coast Conservation Department (CCD), SL Archaeology Department, SL Tourism Board and the Ministry of Defence of the genocidal State of Sri Lanka are being tightly coordinated by certain foreign-relations involved ministers and officials in Colombo to demarcate a large tract of land to the west of Cheenan-kudaa (China Bay), which is to be leased out to a foreign country, informed civil sources in Trincomalee told TamilNet on Thursday. In the meantime, SL Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe is trying to create competition between India and China to strike a trade agreement involving the occupied capital of the nation of Eezham Tamils. Lands with varieties of Ka’ndal mangroves up to 2 km in distance from the coastline of China Bay are to be leased out in the first phase, the sources say.

32nd anniversary of Vaddakka'ndal genocidal massacre commemorated

Northern Provincial Council (NPC) Chief Minister, Justice C.V. Wigneswaran on Monday joined hands with NPC Opposition Leader Sinnadurai Thavarajah of the EPDP and the people of Vaddak-ka'ndal in Mannaar, commemorating 32nd anniversary of the genocidal massacre of 88 Eezham Tamils, who were shot and butchered to death in execution-style and by 300 Sinhala soldiers who had surrounded the village from all directions in the early hours of 30th January in 1985. Farmers, labourers, students, teachers and a school principal were among the massacred at various places in the village. The SL military had been wantonly targeting Tamil villagers in Mannaar for more than a month since 04 December 1984, when the Tamil Tigers carried out an ambush on an armoured vehicle of the SL military at Moon'raam-piddi, a village located on Mannaar - Jaffna Road.

Religious conflict instigated in Koara’laip-pattu South, Batticaloa

Unidentified persons believed to be from outside Vaakaneari GS area entered the Hindu temple of Sri Chiththivinaayaakar, situated 18 km west of Vaazhaich-cheanai town, desecrated the Linga statue and vandalised the temple on Saturday night. Similar events are also reported in the past twice at Iththiyadi Sri Siththivinaayakar temple in 2014 and 2015. The villagers suspect external elements engaged in a covert ploy to instigate violence between different religious sections among the Tamil-speaking people in Batticaloa. During the regime of Rajapaksa, there were some mischievous moves to change the administrative borders to facilitate demographic changes. However, Tamil politicians managed to block such attempts.

“It is crystal clear that the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon works for the powers who orchestrate wars even though he is supposed to represent the United Nations. His positions are morally indefensible and he is complicit in the genocide of the Tamil people and the dismantling of Tamil Eelam state. His earlier role as a spy for the South Korean dictatorship shows that his history of complicity cannot be limited to Mullivaikkal. It goes back to the 1970s and 1980s,” comments Professor Jude Lal Fernando, in a note sent to TamilNet on Monday. Meanwhile, citing media reports, a South Korean academic detailed the role played by Mr Ban Ki-moon four decades ago as spy for South Korean dictatorship that massacred civilians protesting for democracy.

As the Southern polity is preparing for the fourth conjuncture of ‘state formation’ in the island through bringing a new Constitution to ‘Sri Lanka’, it is critical for the Tamils to articulate their refusal to accede their sovereignty once again. This time, it is more important than ever to make it perfectly clear to all the stakeholders in the affairs of the island, the activists said.

Wigneswaran urges SL State to respect international principle on resettlement

“Unless Grama Sevaka Divisions 244 and 252 are released in full as promised earlier, what has been gingerly granted today would hardly be of any use to the few families now selected to enter their erstwhile denied lands,” Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran said in his address at Vazhalaay during the visit by SL President, Prime Minister and former President Chandrika Kumaratunga. “It may not be out of place for me to mention here of the land grabs taking place in the Vanni not only by the military but also by certain Politicians who wielded power earlier and who continue to wield power now, may be more so. They still influence in selecting inappropriate beneficiaries for the Indian Housing Schemes,” the CM said, urging the SL State to adhere to the UN Principles for Housing and Property Restitution for Refugees and IDPs, which is known as the Pinheiro Principles.
