Razeek group member shot dead

The Liberation Tigers shot dead a member of the Razeek group this morning at Thalavai, about fifteen kilometers north of Batticaloa town. The dead youth, identified as M. Kunaratnam 24, was part of fully armed platoon of the Razeek group which had set an ambush on the Liberation Tigers who frequent the Thalavai area from the early hours of the morning.

LTTE denies involvement in Batticaloa explosion

Tigers hit 13th Colony STF Camp

Shot youth was civilian: inquest

The Sri Lankan Police from the detachment at Jayanthipuram which is a suburb of Batticaloa town shot dead a youth identified as Kirupananthan Arulanantham, 19 around 7.30 p.m. last night. The youth was returning home in Punnai Cholai, a village by the lagoon on the outskirts of the Batticaloa town, when the Jayanthipuram Police had shot at him, killing him on the spot.

School teacher shot dead
