Prime Minister leaves to US

Police harass journalist for reporting torture

Protest against privatisation in Colombo

Colombo gets ready for 'People's Power' rally

Point Pedro high security zone to remain

All shops and schools were closed down and black flags were hoisted. The military ordered the indefinite closure of Hartley College and Vadamarachchi Methodist Girls High School whose students were involved in Monday’s protests.

Court to hear Mylanthanai massacre case

Prisoners swap postponed by ten days

Gen. Ratwatte's bank lockers searched

The Criminal Investigation Department officials Wednesday night searched several safety deposit boxes in a leading private bank in Colombo and found cash around five million rupees and several secret documents. CID officials said Thursday that the said safety deposit boxes belong to the former Deputy Defence Minister General Anurudhha Ratwatte and his wife.
