The enraged detainees attacked the government and other offices and employees in the centre, the sources added. Vavuniyaa general hospital and shot at him Monday night around 7:00 p.m. when he was returning after attending patients in a private medical institution at Theakkuwathai in Vavuniyaa police division. He was rushed to the Vavuniyaa general hospital in a critical condition, but succumbed to injuries on admission to the hospital, police sources said.
