FIU of CBSL emerges as networked Intel outfit against Tamils in homeland, Diaspora

The so-called Financial Investigative Unit (FIU) of the Central Bank of the unitary State of genocidal Sri Lanka (CBSL), which is led by a Colombo-based ‘Sri Lankan’ Tamil, Indrajith Coomaraswamy, is scheming rigid controls on Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) in the North-East with a ‘counter-insurgency’ role. The Central Bank is deploying the provisions of the Financial Transactions Reporting Act, No. 6 of 2006 (FTRA), which was gazetted by the former regime of Mahinda Rajapaksa, for financial surveillance on Eezham Tamils, both in the homeland and in the Diaspora. The Central Bank of the unitary State system has become another Colombo-centric authority to wage structural genocide against Eezham Tamils with a sophisticated global network as well as sharing intelligence and surveillance with the military and police of the genocidal State.

‘Sinhala Gammana’ colony gets expanded in Ko'ndaichchi, Mannaar

Construction workers from South who were deployed by the occupying SL military and Rajapaksa regime for the post-war infrastructure and militarisation of North were settled there by the occupying Sinhala military.

SL President failed to satisfy his promises: families of enforced disappeared in Batticaloa

The President of genocidal Sri Lanka is trying to escape from his promises on tracing what had happened to those subjected to enforced disappearance by the armed forces under him. Mr Maithiripala Sirisena is now explaining that the crimes took place under Mahinda Rajapaksa and that he is not answerable. “As far as the families of enforced disappeared are concerned the culture of impunity continues as long as there is a Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, unwilling to trace the records of the military under him,” said Mrs Amalanayaki Amalraj, the coordinator of Batticaloa district families of persons subjected to enforced disappearances.

SL military enlists 50 Tamils for slave work in military-run farms in Jaffna

Victimised Tamil women from East exposed to nightmare on Valentine's Day in Colombo

A Colombo-based NGO, known as Families of the Disappeared (FoD), was inviting 30 Tamil women from the East on Valentine's Day to Western Province to narrate their ‘love stories’ with their husbands, whom they later lost due to enforced disappearances. It was shocking that the personalities involved in the outfit, known to be making money on the plight of Tamil victims, would go to this level of ‘Human Rights’ exploitation, commented Mrs Amalanayaki Amalaraj, the chairperson of the organisation for enforced-disappeared in Batticaloa district. She characterised the stage event of traumatic exposure as psychological and cultural ‘torture’. Eezham Tamils set to lose Vavuniyaa North to Sinhala colonists in civic elections

The Sinhala colonisation and demographic changes engineered by the genocidal unitary State of Sri Lanka in Vavuniyaa North have gone to the extent that Eezham Tamils would be losing their political hold of Vavuniyaa North Divisional Council (Piratheasa Chapai) in the forthcoming civic elections, Tamil civil sources in Vavuniyaa said. Vavuniyaa North was entirely a Tamil division before the colonisation by Sinhala paramilitary-led colonists following the State-sponsored anti-Tamil pogrom in 1983. Although the area has been subjected to Sinhala colonisation for a long time through settling Sinhala paramilitary personnel and their families, the extent of silent colonisation has been accelerated after the war in the recent years with the aim of transforming Vavuniyaa North into a 'Sinhala Only' division as the recently Sinhalicised division of Weli-oya, the civil sources further said.

The SL military has transformed the Madu Road Junction, an area with spiritual significance into an amusement and business site by operating a restaurant and conducting parties at the locality, the Catholic residents of the area have complained. “The Army check point at the entrance to the Holy Shrine is a distraction and the main Army Camp at 6th milepost has been developed and appears like a small city by itself,” the Administrator of the Shrine of Our Lady of The Rosary noted in his letter to SL President.

SL Police reluctant to act against SLFP goons in Batticaloa

Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan, a former Tiger commander turned paramilitary operative of the occupying Sinhala military in 2004, has illegally seized 25 acres of farmlands that belong to 16 private landowners at Thadaa'nai in Pearillaa-ve'li of Koa'ra'laippattu South (Kiraan) Division and transferred the lands to his sister, the affected landowners complain. The SL Police is not prepared to act against the encroachers, the landowners said. Mr Muralitharan who became a deputy minister in Mahinda Rajapaksa's cabinet in 2009 and later joined Rajapaksa's SLFP, has appointed his sister as the head of SLFP Women Wing in Batticaloa.

Paramilitary operative employed at Cooray's secretariat in Jaffna harasses public servants

The SL operative has handed over details of Tamil public servants, who took part in the black flag protest and demanded the SL Presidential Security Division (PSD) to punish them through SL Presidential Secretariat instructions to relevant ministries. The harassment has already begun with instruction of transfers being sent to North, informed sources in Colombo said. A Ministerial Security Division (MSD) officer in charge of SL Governor's security is also involved in the latest operation.

Colombo brings Sinhala private partnerships to wage structural genocide in Vanni

Colombo has started to occupy new lands for Sinhalicisation of the occupied homeland of Eezham Tamils through what it calls Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives, the sources further said.

Colombo-based Director General of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DFAR) MCL Fernando, who happens to be a relative of an influential colonist in Mukaththuvaaram and Ven Sri Thissapura Gunarathna Thero, the extremist Buddhist monk from Kokku’laay, attending the meeting.

Indian Commander wants ‘more training’ from genocidal Sri Lanka Army

P.M. Hariz, who hails from Kerala, was previously GOC-in-C at Army Training Command in Shimla. While appeasing the SL military, the Indian Establishment has been operating against the sentiments of Eezham Tamils by continuously opting for Sinhala-centric approaches in its geopolitical outlook. In July, China gained 99-year commercial control of Hambantota deep seaport. Within two weeks, India rushed with its interests in operating Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) for 40 years.

Undeclared censorship imposed on books, magazines reaching Jaffna by post

The occupying state of genocidal Sri Lanka has imposed an undeclared censorship on printed magazines, weeklies and books that are being posted from outside the island to addresses in Jaffna. The latest censorship is being practiced by the Customs section, which is attached to the SL Postal Department in Jaffna, informed postal department workers told TamilNet on Friday. Sinhala Custom officials are removing printed material in letters or parcels that carry any photo or image related to the Tamil struggle in the past. Even a magazine that carried an article about an asylum case of an Eezham Tamil in UK was removed from the post and the recipient was warned to instruct the sender not to post anything related to Tamil nationalism. There are also reports that journalists entering North-East are being subjected to strict surveillance.

Students, families mark 11 years since genocidal massacre of 53 school girls

Structural genocide targets Kuchchave'li through long-term land lease

Sinhala SL Government Agent of Trincomalee N.A.A.Pushpakumara is leasing lands to Sinhala businessmen from South in Kuchchave'li administrative division. The Tamil Divisional Secretary of the division, P.Thaneswaran, is being directed by the ruling politicians of occupying Colombo to alienate public lands through long-term leasing (99 years) to Sinhala colonisers, Tamil civil sources in Trincomalee said. Although the Eastern Provincial Council has a say on the issue of term-lease, it has been subjected to heavy influence from Colombo. Knowning that Kachcheari has lost original copies of lands from Nilaave'li to Kumpu'rup-piddi, there has been a systematic move of utilising so-called temporary land permits with the motive of transferring the lands later to the Sinhala owners. The long-term lease in practice means that the lands become the property of the owners in the long run.
