[TamilNet, Tuesday, 13 September 2016, 17:19 GMT]
Occupying Colombo's Forest Department, deploying Sinhala civil servants from South as the officers in charge of the forest affairs in Vanni, has been increasingly harassing the resettled Eezham Tamils in Mullaiththeevu and Ki'linochchi districts under the rule of SL President Maithiripala Sirisena, Tamil civil sources in Mullaiththeevu told TamilNet on Tuesday. Eezham Tamils who have been engaged in agriculture before the times of war and during the times of war and have commenced agriculture in their deed-lands have been instructed by the SL Forest Department officers not to enter their agricultural lands at Thuvaarang-ku'lam and Mooppan-ku'lam in Maanthai East. Maithiripala Sirisena acts like D.S. Senanayake in colonizing Tamil lands in East

[TamilNet, Sunday, 04 September 2016, 21:43 GMT]
Maithiripala Sirisena’s Forest Department has seized 600 hectares of residential lands in the only remaining Tamil division Thirukkoayil in Ampaa’rai district, Tamil civil officials from the Divisional Secretariat told TamilNet. Comparing the occupation scheme and the current structural genocide in Ampaa’rai to the 1957 so-called Gal Oya Colonisation Scheme, the Tamil officials said Colombo’s Forest Department officials have planted border stones surrounding residential lands of uprooted Eezham Tamils from Chaakamam, Thangka-vea’laayutha-puram and Kagnchi-kuddichchaa’ru GS divisions after the 2007-2009 genocidal onslaught. Although 700 Tamil families were fighting to resettle in their lands, their pleas went unheeded, the civil officials said. The occupying military and the Colombo-controlled administration have been blocking the people from resetting in their own lands after the war.

Thiraayk-kea'ni, a traditional Tamil village situated in Muslim-dominated Addaa'laich-cheanai division, is still struggling to come to terms with the past. 26 years have elapsed after the village faced a brutal massacre in which 52 Tamils were hacked to death at the temple grounds and a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped and thrown into the fire. The poverty-stricken villagers, resettled there after four years have been deprived of proper resettlement and livelihood. They were even unable to commemorate the 26-year remembrance of the victims at the temple on 06 August this year.

Amaithipuram exposes disparity in ‘development’ motives of Colombo, external powers

[TamilNet, Friday, 08 July 2016, 15:37 GMT]
The entire village of Amaithi-puram (peace-town), created in 2012 as a settlement for war-affected, women-headed and uprooted families from Periya-pa’ndi-virichchaan in Mannaar district during the regime of Rajapaksa, is still languishing without proper livelihood support. 250 Eezham Tamils belonging to 47 families are struggling without access to potable water and they lack much-needed road infrastructure. In contrast, Sinhala colonization settlements being created in the occupied country of Eezham Tamils by the genocidal unitary State in South are fully utilized with sustainable and modern solutions in all areas, be it housing, livelihood, education arrangements and state-of-the art road infrastructure. But, in Amaithi-puram, like in several other villages of ‘resettled’ Tamils, even the houses built under the Indian housing assistance have become rotten to the core within 5 years.

[TamilNet, Sunday, 12 June 2016, 21:18 GMT]
Genocidal Sri Lanka's Ministry of ‘Mahaweli Development & Environment’, which is led by SL President Maithiripala Sirisena, has started to deploy violence to chase away the resettled Eezham Tamils at 15th Mile Post in Kokkuth-thoduvaay, a strategically situated coastal village in Karai-thu'raip-pattu division of Mullaiththeevu district, the affected families complained. On 02 June, SL Forest Department personnel, accompanied by ‘Mahaweli Development’ officials forcibly removed the temporary huts of some of the resettled Tamil families at 15th Mile Post. After the end of genocidal onslaught on Vanni in May 2009, the project of Sinhalicisation has been intensified through the Sinhala colony of Padaviya in Anuradhapura and Vavuniyaa districts and the entire Ma'nalaa'ru (Weli-oya) area has been fully Sinhalicised and emerged as the ‘Sinhala Only’ administrative division in Mullaiththeevu.

[TamilNet, Monday, 16 May 2016, 20:13 GMT]
0Genocidal State of Sri Lanka, regardless of regimes coming to power in Colombo, has been intensely spearheading a Sinhala colonisation programme to wedge the North and East at several strategic locations in the north of Trincomalee district and in the south of Mullaiththeevu district in North. Recently, the SL Ministry of Buddha Sasana in Colombo has approved funds to construct four new Buddhist temples (pansala) and viharas in predominantly Tamil-speaking Thennai-maravadi and Pulmoaddai areas that come under the Kuchchave'li division, Tamil civil sources in Trinocmalee told TamilNet on Monday. In the meantime, several pansalas are to be constructed in the bordering largely Sinhala division of Morawewa, where two Tamil villages, Panku'lam and Nochchik-ku'lam, are being subjected to Sinhalicisation, the sources further said.

The families, mostly dependent on animal farming or agriculture close to their temporary huts, live below the poverty line, and are among the poorest in Mannaar district. Their houses were either demolished or taken over by the occupying SL military and the notorious Special Task Force (STF) in February 1997 during the brutal military operation code named ‘Edibala’.

Colombo systematically discriminates uprooted Tamils in Ampaa'rai: EPC Councillor

[TamilNet, Sunday, 27 March 2016, 23:24 GMT]
While the current regime of genocidal Sri Lanka is engaged in propaganda activities through donating houses to sections of Eezham Tamils to showcase its ‘one-way reconciliation’, especially through media involving journalists from South, the majority of uprooted Tamils are being systematically kept away from resettling in their villages, accused T. Kalaiyarasan, an elected member of the Eastern Provincial Council, on Sunday. The Tamil families who resettled on their own effort in are being systematically harassed in Ampaa'rai. Not a single journalist from South has ever exposed this systemic neglect, the EPC Councillor said. Colombo government's Archaeology Department, Forest Department and Wildlife Departments are working closely with Buddhist monks and the occupying Sinhala military to keep the Tamils away from their traditional villages in Ampaa'rai district, he said.

Sinhala military of US design consolidates along Palk Bay challenging Tamil Nadu

[TamilNet, Thursday, 17 March 2016, 23:07 GMT]
0Hundreds of soldiers of genocidal Sri Lanka have been deployed between Iluppaik-kadavai in Maanthai-West of Mannaar and the strategic Poonakari in the north of Vanni mainland along the coastal belt facing the Palk Bay in recent days. The occupying Sinhala soldiers are transforming their temporary positions into permanent structures. Even the travellers along the A32 Highway from Mannaar through Poonakari to Jaffna could witness the systematic deployment of the SL soldiers being busily engaged in consolidating their positions and cantonments. The betrayal committed upon the Eezham Tamils by the Geneva-based ‘Human Rights’ discourse, which is primarily exploited by the world powers for their geopolitical manoeuvrings on the island, has ended up strengthening the military grip of genocidal Sri Lanka on Eezham Tamils.

Uprooted Tamils in Jaffna to launch occupy movement carrying ‘white-flags’

[TamilNet, Saturday, 27 February 2016, 21:31 GMT]
The uprooted Eezham Tamils from Valikaamam North in Jaffna, languishing in so-called welfare camps in Jaffna for 25 years, on Friday resolved that they were no longer prepared to wait in silence trusting the empty promises from David Cameron made in 2013 to Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein in 2016 that they would be soon resettled. The genocidal State of Sri Lanka and its occupying Sinhala military, being groomed as a ‘Lascarine’ force, have transformed their lands from ‘High Security Zone’ into ‘Sinhala Military Zone’. Now, the SL Defence Secretary in Colombo has claimed that Colombo is to sign an agreement with India in June on transforming SL military occupied Palaali airport into an international airport and that the uprooted people should only expect alternative lands citing ‘development’.

Mr Zeid was citing the case of Syria and this message should go to our children languishing in the prisons, the Chief Minister said. Mr Zeid has indicated that the Tamil POWs should go through the judicial system of Colombo for their release.
