PM, President talks inconclusive[TamilNet, Wednesday, 12 November 2003, 09:59 GMT]The meeting between the President Kumaratunga and the Prime Minister Wickremesinghe ended inconclusively after discussing issues relating to the peace process and prospects for a government of national reconciliation, sources in Colombo said. The Prime Minister told the President that he would get back to her after consulting his party and allies, sources said. Full text of the news release signed by the secretaries of both the President and the Prime Minister follows: "The President and the Prime Minister met today at the President's House at 11.30 am in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. The meeting lasted for 2 ½ hours. "After an exchange of views on events leading to the present situation the President and the Prime Minister decided to move forward and continue the dialogue with all parties concerned. "It was planned to have a further meeting between the president and the Prime minister in the course of next week. "The discussions were attended by W. J. S. Karunaratne, Secretary to the President, Bradman Weerakoon, Secretary to the Prime Minister and Mano Tittawella, Senior Adviser to the President and Senior Director General of the President’s Office."
