A woman's undergarments were found with the skeletal remains. The house on Sebastian Street was abandoned by its owners who fled the war in 1995. The family came back from the Vanni to resettle in its home last month. The skull and the bones were found when a new toilet pit was being dug in compound of the house. Hundreds of men and women who were arrested by the Sri Lankan armed forces in Jaffna in 1995-97 are still missing.
